Apparently Bishop Daniel Obinim would have become one of the best footballers to have ever graced the green turf in Ghana and beyond. However, dude ditched the boots and jerseys for the microphone and Bible, as he’s now one of the most famous Ghanaian pastors currently.

A few days ago, legendary Asante Kotoko and Black Stars player Stephen Oduro revealed Obinim was his playmate during their youthful days so he was so surprised he did not pursue football to the highest level because he was an incredible player.

“Daniel Obinim who today is a Bishop now was my neighbour and we were born in the same house, theirs was next to mine and a few other boys in the hood. He was a very good footballer but today he’s doing the work of God”, Stephen Oduro had told reporters not too long ago.

Confirming the report on his OBTV channel, the controversial Ghanaian pastor based in Kumasi stating that at the early stages of his life, he played for Alhaji Grusah’s King Faisal. He mentioned Michael Essien, Stephen Oduro and Osei Kuffour as some of his playmates.
